Abby is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, as well as a wife, mother and healing seeker. She has personal and professional experience in the areas of fertility treatment, adoption, miscarriage and early loss, surrogacy, and challenging pregnancy.
Abby’s own journey helped shape her professional practice, which focuses on growing and nurturing individuals and families. During the last 24 years, she has had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, adolescents, families and groups in both school and private practice settings. Her work includes providing resources, education and support to those who want to create a healthier emotional life, develop more fulfilling relationships, heal from trauma, anxiety and depression and grow their families through fertility treatment, adoption, or surrogacy. In collaboration with individuals, agencies and medical providers, Abby provides psychological evaluations for egg donors and surrogates. She holds ongoing women’s infertility support groups, monthly surrogate and meditation groups. She also provides education and guidance regarding parenting, disclosure, and communication skills related to how families were created, how to meet the needs of the child and how to sustain positive family relationships. Abby consults with fertility agencies and intended parents transitioning from their genetics to other genetics to build their family.
Abby is dedicated to helping people navigate challenging roads, recognize growth and achievements along the way and find healing and hope.
Abby’s practice is in Sherman Oaks, California. She is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine Mental Health Professional Group, California Association of Marriage and Family Therapist, RESOLVE and The Society for Ethics for Egg Donation and Surrogacy (SEEDS).
